Khusargang Expedition

Experience Karakoram provides expeditions to KHUSARGANG PEAK (6400m) with expedited routes that do not require climbing permits from the Ministry of Tourism of Pakistan. The journey spans a minimum of 15 days from Islamabad to Islamabad, with the peak towering at 6400m above sea level. This adventure offers technical climbing and exceptional experiences. Conveniently located just an hour’s drive from Skardu city, followed by a 3-hour trek to establish your base camp.

01: Arrival Islamabad

arrival at the airport and then transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

02: Islamabad to Skardu (By Air)

Early morning flight to Skardu (flights are subject to weather); if unable to fly, we will depart for Skardu by road with an overnight stay at Chilas. Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

03: Chilas to Skardu

In case of flight has operated, we will go for a sightseeing tour of Skardu, and in case of no flight, the day will be used for overland travel from Chilas to Skardu (total drive is 22 – 24 hrs from Islamabad to Skardu). Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

04: Rest day at Skardu

05: Skardu to Kashmal Village and trek to Base camp

After breakfast, we will embark on a jeep drive to Kashmal Village 1.30 minutes after then 3-hour trek and establish base camp (Tent)

06: to 13: Climbing Activities

Climetization and Climbing (Tent).

14: Trek back to Kashmal Village then drive to Skardu

After breakfast, we will trek back to Kashmal Village and drive to Skardu ( during driving to Skardu,
you can visit Shigar Fort and Amboriq Mosque 1200 years old) Upon arrival transfer to hotel and check-in. Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

15: Skardu to Chilas

Early morning drive for Chilas. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight stay in a hotel at Chilas.

16: Chilas to Islamabad

After breakfast, we will depart for Islamabad via babusar pass. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel in Islamabad.

17: Islamabad

After breakfast, we will do a full-day sightseeing of the twin cities of Islamabad/Rawalpindi. The rest of the time is reserved for shopping. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

18: Islamabad to Flight out

Transfer to airport for flight back home.

Please Note: Gilgit Baltistan flights are subject to weather and backlog, in case of flight cancellation we will travel by road, and one night of Islamabad will be adjusted in overland travel.

  • Carry on member’s climbing gear, foodstuff, camping crew, etc., up to base camp and return to the Jeep Roadhead. All porters insurance

Staff: Guide / Cook and assist cook wages, camp food, transport, and their insurance

Camping Equipment:

  • Mess tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent mattress, chairs, Tables
