The Haramosh Pass links the Haramosh Glacier with the Chogo Lungma Glacier to the northeast. Spantik Peak Base Camp is a favored destination for mountaineers attempting their first 7,000-meter summit in the Karakoram. This area is encircled by Laila Peak (6986m), Mani Peak (6685m), and Haramosh Peak (7409m), also known as Golden Peak and Ghenish Chhish. We embark on a strenuous 12-day round trek through the heart of the Karakoram, reaching the base camp of this magnificent peak on the fourth day. One of the trek’s highlights is the enchanting Kutwal Lake, situated at an altitude of 3300 meters, which shimmers beneath the shadows of Haramosh Peak (7409m). Kutwal Lake is located near Haramosh Peak, also known as Peak 58, in the Karakoram Range of the Northern Areas. Few adventurers venture into this part of the Karakoram, allowing us to experience the region’s pristine and romantic wilderness in its prime form.
